I am a huge fan of leggings and tights. They are such an easy way to transform an outfit into something different and keep you from getting bored with your clothes. I am a serious tights whore. I love them. The tights drawer in my dresser is overflowing with pretty things for my legs. Some of my favorite places to get them locally in Seattle are Trendy Wendy, Aprie, Metro, and regular department stores for good basics. Online I love legxicon.com, sockdreams.com, and perhaps a bit out of my price range but seriously drool worthy blackmilkclothing.com.

I had recently bought this amazing vintage 1960s floor length poly dress from Red Light on Capitol Hill. I had it hemmed into a mini because that's how I roll. Paired off with some bright orange tights from Aprie and my basic black Aerosole boots. The earrings and bracelets are also vintage scored from a thrift shop. Usually I get scowled at for wearing all my bright colorful vintage outfits in this city of grey and khaki but today people seemed to be really positive and happy. I think even the most hardened of Seattleites just wish the cold would go away and Spring would finally appear.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you outfit number one hundred! I had a great time doing this but like all good things, there has to be an end. We laughed, we cried, we got inspired. To end it I had to go with my favorite party dress that I scored on a trip to San Francisco a year ago. It's funny, I was walking around my neighborhood today (Capitol Hill, Seattle) and people were totally freaking out. In fact a stuck up looking lady even walked her baby stroller into a pole. ;) I had a few "you look greats" and a few people stared with hostility. "How dare you try to look different and happy and force me to see something cheerful." Super hilarious. Ya know, I'm happy to bring some life to this sea of brown and khaki. Fashion should be fun, and daring, and make you feel great. That's fine if you dress for utilitarian purposes but for those of you who take fashion risks I applaud you.
